CLE officer helps scared resident who called 911

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland officer is getting praise after his act of kindness to help an elderly woman.

Officer Eric Newton was dispatched after Cleveland's Fourth District received a call about a burglary.

When he arrived, he found the elderly woman's home had been burglarized.

Officer Newton took the report and left, only to return a few hours later to fix the window on her house that was broken during the burglary.

We're sure the work by Officer Newton is very appreciated.
