Cleveland charter school closed after teacher sick-out

Mom gets into fight at charter school

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A charter school on the city's east side closed Friday due to so many teachers calling out sick, parent said.

Police were called to Harvard Performance at 12000 Harvard Avenue Thursday after a parent got into a physical fight with a school employee and threatened she had a gun in the car.

A security officer restrained her until Cleveland police arrived. No word of any charges against the mother.

Friday morning a parent called Cleveland 19 News and told us about the robocall she received about the school closed.

The school has grades k-8.
