PAINESVILLE, OH (WOIO) - A Lake County man who killed his dog by tossing him out of a sixth floor window plead guilty Monday to a charge of cruelty to a companion animal.
Michael Sutton admitted to killing the dog on May 3.
Employees at Sutton's apartment complex called police after they found the animal in the building's trash compactor.
The 23-years-old remains locked up on a $500 cash bond.
Judge Cicconetti will sentence Sutton in Painesville Municipal Court on May 16.
The Lake County Humane Society has the dog's remains. It's exact cause of death has not been released.
