Former Browns player pleads not guilty to golf fight charges

BEDFORD, OH (WOIO) - Former Cleveland Browns wide-receiver Reggie Rucker pleaded not guilty to assault and menacing charges Monday after a fight at a golf course.

Rucker was accused of grabbing a man by the throat and pushing him at the Highland Park Golf Course on April 30.

The man, identified as Thomas Urbancic, said Rucker asked him who turned on the music and if they had any "golf etiquette."

Police said Rucker threatened to shoot the man during the confrontation.

The ex-NFL player posted a $1,000 bond. His next court appearance will be June 23.

Rucker has already pleaded guilty to wire fraud and making a false statement to a federal officer. He was charged with using charitable donations to pay gambling debts and personal expenses. He will have to pay restitution of between $95,000 and $150,000. Sentencing is set for May 23.
