Recall issued for fried rice products at Giant Eagle, Market District

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Certain products containing fried rice sold in the prepared foods department of Giant Eagle and Market District locations are part of a national voluntary recall. The products have been recalled by suppliers Garland Ventures Limited and CRF Frozen Foods due to possible Listeria contamination.

The affected product was used as an ingredient in the following items in Giant Eagle and Market District stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana through May 9, 2016:

Customers who have purchased the affected product should dispose of it or return it to their local Giant Eagle or Market District store for a refund. Customers with questions may call Giant Eagle Customer Care at 1-800-553-2324 Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST. In addition to this public communication regarding this recall.
