CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man killed in the area of E. 80th and Cedar Rd. on Friday.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers located the victim while responding to a call of a man shot.

EMS transported 24-year-old Davante R. McLean, who had sustained multiple gun shot wounds, to University Hospitals, where he was pronounced dead.

According to investigators, someone in a vehicle fired the shots but no suspect or car description was given immediately.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will determine McLean's final cause of death.

Detectives are also working to find out whether another shooting incident, which happened just one block away in the 7900 block of Golden Ave., may be connected.

Officers were dispatched to the residence after bullets were fired into the home where a 2-year-old girl sustained bruising to her chest.

The investigation report indicates that a round entered an upstairs window, breaking the glass.

The child was taken to Rainbow Babies and Children where she is expected to be treated and released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police.
