WESTLAKE, OH (WOIO) - A day after rejecting the school board's "last, best offer," Westlake teachers took to the corner of Detroit and Crocker with their best poster-board efforts.
The teachers staged an "informational picket" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in an effort to get the board back to the bargaining table to continue negotiations.
The Westlake Teachers Association is waiting for the board to take action after rejecting the offer but choosing to not go on strike -- yet. The board has said it will review a pledge sent by the teachers requesting the board rescind its last offer and return to negotiations. The board meets May 23.
