CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken a commanding 2-0 lead over the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, and they've done it in dominating fashion. So how might the neighbors to the north retaliate in a peaceful manner?
Hold the team up at customs.
The video, taken from Richard Jefferson's Snapchat story (rjeff24 on Snapchat), shows the Cavaliers idling on the plane, which is sitting on the tarmac at what is likely Toronto Pearson International Airport. In the video, Jefferson talks about being held up at customs, and poses to teammate Matthew Dellavedova the question of "do you think that has anything to do with the fact we're up 2-0?" Dellavedova gives his best straight-faced "no comment," which Jefferson echoes.
But the kicker of the entire ordeal is the status of Tristan Thompson, a Canadian citizen and member of the Cavaliers, who found himself seated on the stairs, unable to proceed from the plane, right next to American-born teammates LeBron James, J.R. Smith and Richard Jefferson.
"I'm Canadian!" he pleaded.
