Police horses on patrol at Cleveland State University campus

CLEVELAND (AP) - Cleveland State University with help from Cleveland has begun patrolling its campus with officers on horseback.

Reports indicate the city offered Cleveland State police department a horse if it allowed one of its officers to be trained. Cleveland State officer Toni Jones trained for six months with an officer from the Cleveland police mounted unit. She and Cleveland officer Mike Herrin have recently begun riding together on the school's campus and on downtown streets.
