CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A motorcyclist died just after 1 a.m. Wednesday after losing control on the ramp at I-71 north and I-90 west.
The victim has been identified as Jesse Palton, 34, of Eastlake. Police said he failed to control the motorcycle on a curve, traveled onto the right shoulder and struck the guard rail.
Palton, who suffered suffered a severe head injury after being thrown from the bike, was not wearing a helmet, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved. The I-90 westbound ramp was closed for hours but reopened shortly before 6 a.m.
