ASHLAND, OH (WOIO) - A 41-year-old Ashland man is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and breaking into an historical home, just days after being released from jail on a probation violation.
Police were looking for Rodney Russell after he allegedly attacked the teenager inside her home. Russell, a friend of the girls parents, was left alone with her when the parents went to get food.
While police were looking for Russell, they got a call about a break-in at an historical home.
When officers arrived, a K9 found him hiding in the attic.
Russell was treated for dog bites and taken back into custody.
