DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Indians are closing in on their first division title since 2007.
With 150 games played, that leaves 12 heading into Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The magic number is now at six.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. at Progressive Field. AL Cy Young contender Corey Kluber will toe the rubber for the Tribe. He's going for his 18th win.
It's been a phenomenal run for the Tribe, who have 11 walkoff wins this season, including Tuesday's thriller. Of those 11, nine different players have driven in the winning run for the Wahoos.
The Indians have a seven game lead in the AL Central over the Detroit Tigers.
