RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - Police arrested a 55-year-old Lexington woman after she allegedly spit on another woman who refused to buy her gas.
The victim told officers she was at a Kroger's gas station in Richland County Wednesday, Oct. 5, when Deborah Caldwell asked her if she could have gas money.
When the victim told her she didn't have any money she said Caldwell told her, "you have a debit card".
According to the police report Caldwell asked her a few more times and when the victim refused she said Caldwell started cursing at her, spit in her face and took off in a van.
Caldwell was arrested and charged with assault Friday.
She is locked up in the Richland County Jail.
