COLUMBUS, OH (WOIO) - Donald Trump Jr., son of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has cancelled his scheduled visit to Ohio State this Sunday, according to a text message from a campaign official sent to a student with knowledge of the visit.
The cancellation comes after lewd comments Trump made in 2005 were revealed by The Washington Post. The comments, which featured Trump bragging about aggressively groping women, have led to many prominent Republicans withdrawing their support of the candidate and calling for him to back out of the race. He has since said that he will "never" drop out.
Trump Jr. was set to visit several tailgates throughout campus with Tomi Lahren, host of "Tomi" on TheBlaze, prior to the OSU football game against Indiana.
A spokesman for Trump's campaign in Ohio did not immediately return a request for comment.
