Richland Co. police issue warning after 6 deadly overdoses in just a few days

RICHLAND COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The Richland County police have issued a warning after at least six people died from overdoses in just a few days.

According to the Montgomery County Coroner, at least four of them involved heroin laced with animal sedative carfentanil.

"We urge families struggling with addiction to please reach out for help," the Mansfield Department of Police wrote in a statement. "There are many addiction services locally and across the state. We also encourage members of the community to immediately turn in dealers known to sell, buy, or possess fentanyl or carfentanil by calling METRICH at 419-755-9728."
