RICE TOWNSHIP, OH -

Two men were injured after their car flipped on SR 53 early Wednesday.

22-year-old Justin M. Greenberg, of Huron, was heading southbound on SR 53 at around 1:22 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned several times before landing in a creek. The crash occurred near mile post 17 in Rice Township.

He and his passenger, 21-year-old Samuel J. Rodman, of Port Clinton, were both taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center by Sandusky County EMS. No information on their conditions have been released at this time.

Greenberg was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash; Rodman was.

Alcohol and/or drugs appear to be a factor.

SR 53 was closed for an hour and a half while troopers and emergency personnel were on scene.
