Concealed carry holder shot, killed during robbery attempt

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A concealed carry holder was shot and killed during a robbery attempted on Oct. 9.

An armed suspect tried to rob 24-year-old Justin Blanton in the area of East 93rd near Cedar and Quincy. Blanton pulled out his gun and both fired. 

Blanton was shot in the back. He managed to walk into the Cleveland Clinic ER before being transferred to University Hospitals, where he died on Oct. 10.

The suspect is still on the loose. It is unknown if he is injured.
