BELLEVUE, OH (WOIO) -

A man and woman were charged with child endangerment after police said they overdosed with children in the home.

Ryan Jenkins and Sandra Stahl were found unresponsive in the 400 block of W. Main St. on Wednesday. When police arrived, they had to use as many as four Narcan doses on each to revive them.

Police said there had been two young children in the home with the couple, but they weren't there when officers arrived. They eventually found that the kids had been picked up by a "friend" of Jenkins and Stahl and taken to the friend's house just prior to the officer's arrival.

Jenkins and Stahl were both arrested after being examined at Bellevue Hospital. The children were taken into the custody of Sandusky County Children Services as no family were able to responsibly take care of them.
