STREETSBORO, OH (WOIO) -

After three weeks of searching for a permanent place to stay, a cat rescued from a busy freeway finally has a home to go to.

Steve, the lucky kitten, was found by Sgt. Polivka on I-480 in Streetsboro on September 19. The officer saw him trying to cross the highway when he scooped him up.

According to Streetsboro police, Steve was adopted by Officer Plesz who already owns a dog.

We’re glad the kitten now has a place to call home and a friend waiting for him.
