DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

There wasn't anything surprising about Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, at least not for Indians fans.

Frankie Lindor, a rising young star who happens to play shortstop for Cleveland, hit a two-run shot in the sixth to put the Indians up 2-0. Indians fans would argue he's already a star.

Cy Young candidate Corey Kluber, who happens to be Cleveland's ace, got a little help from his friends Andrew Miller and Cody Allen to put together a shutout. None of that came as a surprise to Indians fans, who couldn't be more grateful for the mid-season acquisition of Miller.

Miller came in with one out in the top of the seventh, and proceeded to get five outs -- all via strikeout.

Allen came in to lock it down in the ninth.

After an astonishingly exciting regular season series between Toronto and Cleveland, there was nothing particularly surprising about Friday night. Well, at least not for Indians fans.

If regular season any indicator, Indians/Blue Jays ALCS should be a treat

Saturday's Game 2 is slated for a 4 p.m. start at Progressive Field.
