CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A 32-year-old woman was killed on Saturday night after the motorcycle she was a passenger on was involved in a car crash.
The 24-year-old motorcycle driver was going above the speed limit while traveling northbound on Sate Route 237 at Rocky River Drive around 10:05 p.m. on Saturday. A 17-year-old woman was driving southbound on the same road when she stopped at a red light at the intersection of Chatfield Avenue.
The car's driver yielded for traffic before beginning to make a left turn. Her car was struck by the motorcycle, ejecting the 32-year-old passenger onto the roadway. The motorcycle passenger was taken to MetroHealth Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Metro with serious injuries.
The 17-year-old and her 18-year-old passenger were uninjured.
