CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Two people were shot in an attempted robbery at Hot Sauce Williams on Saturday night.

Derek Garvin, 25, and Sheena Smith, 21, were supposed to meet a potential buyer for a hoverboard they posted on the OfferUp app at the E.79th and Carnegie restaurant on Saturday at 11 p.m. Upon arrival, the two black male suspects robbed Garvin.

As Garvin and Smith fled in their car, the suspects opened fire, hitting Garvin in the side of the face and Smith in the foot. They are both stable at University Hospitals.

The suspects got away with the hoverboard, worth around $700. They fled in a silver vehicle, possibly a Jeep Cherokee.

No arrests have been made. Detectives are investigating.
