CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - J.R. Smith is back on the hardwood with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The shooting guard and the team came to a contract agreement Friday and participated in his first practice Monday.

"I shot the the ball pretty well. It felt good to actually be playing against somebody. That's probably the biggest transition, after working out by yourself to playing five-on-five," Smith said after practice.

Smith is expected to play in the Cavs final preseason game against the Washington Wizards Tuesday.

The Cavs open the season Oct. 25 at home against the New York Knicks.
