Trevor Bauer may be replaced by the Cleveland Indians in the American League Championship Series, but that would make him ineligible to play in the World Series if the team advances.
Bauer must be replaced by another pitcher and not another position on the team.
The righty injured his finger just days before opening Game 3 in Toronto for the Tribe. He did it while using a drone.
A few batters into the first inning his finger split open and bled heavily on the mound. He left the game and was replaced by Dan Otero.
Many are questioning whether Bauer's injury would allow him to return in the next couple of days.
