Early voting in Ohio: Your polling location and when to vote

Early voting in Ohio started on Oct. 12, 2016 and continues until Nov. 7 -- the day before Election Day Nov. 8. 

Voting early at your polling location is an option from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until Nov. 7.

Here are some important absentee ballot deadlines:

  • Absentee Ballot return deadline - In Person: Absentee ballots, returned in person or via a method other than U.S. Mail, must be received by the boards of elections by close of polls.
  • Absentee Ballot return deadline - By Mail: Absentee ballots returned by U.S. Mail must be postmarked no later than Nov. 7 and received by boards of elections by this date to be counted.
