Cleveland sports winners have one thing in common... the number 19

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- On June 19, the Cavaliers made history by becoming the first team to win a major sports championship in Cleveland since 1964.

On Oct. 19, the Indians won Game 5 of the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays, earning them a spot in the World Series. It will be their first appearance since 1997... 19 years ago.

Famous Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar, who broke numerous records during his tenure with the team, was number 19. Bob Feller, the Indians pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer who pitched in the 1948 World Series, was number 19.

LeBron James was 19 years old when he won NBA Rookie of the Year in his first season with the Cavs.

Stipe Miocic, Cleveland native and UFC Heavyweight Champion, was born on Aug. 19. Cleveland Indians players Dan Otero, Josh Tomlin, Yan Gomes and Rajai Davis were all born on the 19th of the month.

All of this has made one thing pretty clear: 19 is Cleveland's lucky number.
