Two men arrested in Brunswick for catalytic converter theft

BRUNSWICK, OH (WOIO) -

Two men were arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing numerous catalytic converters cut from underneath vehicles.

Richard Ford, 51, and Aaron McCoy, 27, were stopped for multiple violations while driving in the area of K-Mart Plaza in Brunswick around 2:20 a.m. Investigation revealed they were responsible for a number of catalytic converter thefts.

Ford has been arrested in the past for rape, GSI and felonious assault. McCoy has been arrested for theft, fraud and domestic violence.

They were both arrested and are being investigated for receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools.
