Store owner pistol-whipped, robbed in Akron

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Long's Auto Haus in Akron was robbed on Thursday morning.

The owner said two men entered the 730 North Main St. business armed with handguns shortly after 8 a.m. They pistol-whipped him and demanded money before fleeing with cash to an awaiting grey Ford Taurus parked on Frances Ave. 

The first suspect is a black male who is 18 to 22 years old, 5'4" to 5'6" and 150 to 170 lbs. He was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect is a black male who is 20 to 25 years old, 6'2" to 6'4" and 180 to 190 lbs. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The getaway driver is a black female who is 5'5" and 120 lbs. She had pink or purple hair.

Police say the suspects may have been involved in a similar robbery that occurred on Oct. 7 at the Bel-Air Motors at 601 West Exchange St. The owner was pistol-whipped and money was taken.
