DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Brandon Guyer, who has a knack for getting hit by pitches (he led the majors with 31 this season), delivered once again in Game 1 of the World Series.
Guyer took a Jon Lester pitch to the right leg with the bases full in the first inning, forcing Mike Napoli home with the second run of the inning.
After the game Guyer talked with Tony Zarrella about how big that early rally was.
"Even though we got to (Lester), I thought he pitched really good," Guyer said. "We got some good hitting, good base running, and got some runs for (Indians ace Corey) Kluber early, which was huge."
