Man tells 911 to send an ambulance, he just shot his wife

Police: Man calls 911 and says he shot his wife

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH (WOIO) - A North Ridgeville man called 911 saying he shot his wife. After giving his address the dispatcher asked what happened, he replied: "Send the cops now please, send an ambulance, send everything, right now please."

He also told her he needed a cigarette and would throw his gun in the garage. He promised to wait for police with his hands up.

Randy Hamilton, 50, made the 911 call just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night. He told authorities he just shot Michelle L. Ryals, 45.

When police arrived at the Avon Belden Rd. home they found Hamilton outside and Ryals in a bedroom. She had been shot once in the chest and had already died.

Hamilton was charged with murder and is being held in the Lorain County Jail.
