CHICAGO (WOIO) - Cleveland pitcher Trevor Bauer started Game 5 Sunday night in Chicago. He was pulled after five innings.
Bauer was sailing along with a 1-0 lead before the Cubs broke out with three runs in the fourth, starting with Kris Bryant's leadoff homer.
Bauer gave up six hits and struck out seven without a walk.
After the game, Cubs fans heckled the right-hander during his post-game interview.
"Bauer we need you on the mound for Game 6," yelled the Cubs fan.
Bauer also started Game 2, the Indians only other loss. He said he never found his rhythm but it had nothing to do with his much-publicized (and treated) pinky finger. Bauer injured his pinky while plugging in one of his drones.
Bauer lasted just 3.2 innings against the Cubs, giving up two runs on 87 pitches in Game 2.
Game 6 will be Tuesday at Progressive Field. Josh Tomlin is scheduled to start.
