CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland police are investigating a shooting that sent a teen and a baby to the hospital.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday, in the area of Lee and Harvard, between JFK High and the Whitney M. Young School.

DeAndre Veal says he was driving in the area when he noticed an unknown person with a Joker (villain from the Batman comic book series) mask driving a black Ford. Veal said the Ford followed him.

Javon Graves, 19, and a 19-month old baby were with Veal at the time.

Veal said the occupants of the Ford ordered him to pull over near E. 177th. Veal said he accelerated instead, continuing east on Harvard, when he heard multiple shots.

Graves was hit in the chest. The baby was grazed on her shoulder.

Veal said he immediately drove to South Pointe Hospital. From there they were life-flighted to MetroHealth Hospital.

The condition of the victims is unknown.

Police are searching for suspects. If you have any information give them a call.
