CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Andrew Miller did not pitch in Game 6, but he is expected to see the mound in Game 7.
"Whatever it takes," he said about the crucial game. "Whatever I'm capable to give, I'm going to give everything I've got and hope we have more runs at the end of the day than they do."
Miller, who has seen heavy usage this postseason, has not pitched since Saturday's Game 4. The time off can only help him going into Wednesday's deciding game.
"The off day was nice and if you do have to get extended it'll be nice to have had these days," he said.
Corey Kluber will take the mound for Game 7. Miller wouldn't have it any other way.
"All of our pitchers have thrown the ball well, but he's definitely the guy for us," he said. "I don't think anybody could draw up a better pitcher for Game 7 than Corey Kluber and fortunately we got him."
Kluber will look to win his third game of the World Series. He is 2-0 with an ERA of 0.75.
Miller, Cody Allen or Bryan Shaw all did not pitch on Tuesday night. They are the Indians' top three relievers and should each be available for multiple innings in Game 7 if needed.
