Indians fan catches Cubs homer, opts to keep ball

DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The ball was flying off the Chicago Cubs' bats on Tuesday. They combined for a series-high 13 hits, including three home runs.

One home run hit by Chicago first baseman Anthony Rizzo put the icing on the cake in the ninth inning. Pitcher Mike Clevinger left one out over the plate and Rizzo wound up knocking it 391 feet.

It was a tough for most fans to watch Rizzo round the bases, but it was a memorable night for John Matic, 20. Matic said he missed it for a second, but was able to snag it after it bounced off a seat behind him.

He said many encouraged him to throw it back, but he chose to keep the ball.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing," he said.

What would you do? It appears our Twitter followers would have thrown it back:
