WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - A jury is deliberating in a Warrensville Heights triple-murder trial.
Douglas Shine faces the death penalty if convicted of murdering three people at a Warrensville Heights barbershop in February 2015.
Walter Barfield, 23; Brandon White Ladson, 31; and William Gonzalez, 32, were killed.
Shine is also accused of shooting and severely wounding three other victims.
In addition, prosecutors say Shine arranged for the June 2015 murder of Aaron Ladson, 32, whose brother was among the victims of the barbershop shooting. Ladson was on his way to Common Pleas Court in an unrelated case when he was shot outside his house on Harvard Avenue in Warrensville Heights.
The state also accuses Shine of attempting to murder two other individuals and firing bullets into an occupied house and a school in January 2015.
On Tuesday, the defense had an expert on the stand to discuss the validity of eyewitness testimony.
