Tom+Chee founders explain their innovative grilled cheeses

STRONGSVILLE, OH (WOIO) - Cincinnati-based grilled cheese restaurant Tom+Chee will hold a grand opening ceremony at their Strongsville location Friday.

Tom+Chee is known for their tomato soup and their variations on the traditional grilled cheese, including a grilled cheese donut available in traditional, s'more, chocolate bacon and more. The restaurant has been featured on "Shark Tank," "The Chew," "Man vs. Food Nation" and more.

"We make all our dressings, our soups, our sauces from scratch," said co-founder Trew Quackenbush. "We try to put the best into what we've got and then make everything else we can."

The ribbon cutting ceremony will happen at 10:30 a.m. The restaurant has been open since September.

The restaurant already has 31 locations in 15 states. This is their second location in the greater Cleveland area.
