LOUISVILLE, OH (WOIO) - High school students in Louisville schools have walked out. The students are protesting a teacher strike that's in its third day. The schools have remained open with substitutes.
On Tuesday, the Louisville Education Association met to vote on the State Employment Relations Board fact-finding report. For a second time, the association voted against the report.
After the vote, the association, which represents 180 full-time and part-time district employees, voted to strike.
Students in Friday's walkout said the quality of education since the strike has been subpar and they want to stand in support of their teachers.
Louisville, Ohio is about 10 miles northeast of Canton.
