ELECTION DAY: How to report a problem at the polls

If you experience a problem at the polls, we want to hear about it.

Cleveland 19's investigative unit will be ready to look into reports of voting irregularities. You can report issues by emailing Cleveland 19 News (19tips@woio.com) or calling 216-367-7319.

Complaints related to a disruption at a polling place should be reported to local election officials on site. Complaints related to violence or threats should be reported to local police.

You can also call the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections (216-443-8683) or Ohio's state-specific voting hotline (1-877-767-6446) to report problems.

You can report issues to the nonpartisan Election Protection Coalition by calling 866-687-8683, a hotline staffed by trained volunteers who can answer questions about voter rights. 

The civil rights division of the U.S. Department of Justice will also hear reports of federal voting law violations via 800-253-3931 or 202-307-2767. Complaints can be faxed to 202-307-3961, emailed to voting.section@usdoj.gov or submitted online
