CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Organizers of "A Day Without a Woman" are encouraging women to wear red Wednesday. The color is said to signify love and sacrifice.

Wednesday's event, which coincides with the U.N.-designated International Women's Day, is the first major action since the nationwide marches held the day after President Donald Trump's inauguration that drew millions of women into the streets in protest against misogyny, inequality and oppression.
