Over 1,400 Ecstasy pills confiscated during traffic stop

The Ohio State Highway Patrol confiscated over a thousand Ecstasy pills during a traffic stop on March 22.

According to the OSHP, troopers pulled over a 2013 Ford F-150 truck with Pennsylvania registration because of a marked lanes violation on the Ohio Turnpike near the exit for I-77 in Summit County. A drug-sniffing dog alerted troopers that there may be illegal substances in the vehicle. After a search, troopers recovered a package containing 1,418 Ecstasy pills. The pills are estimated to value $32,000.

The driver, 32-year-old Andreas Key, and the passenger, 33-year-old Gregory Gray, both of Pennsylvania, were arrested and taken to the Summit County Jail. They have been charged with possession of a schedule 1 or 2 substance and trafficking in drugs. Both offenses are first-degree felonies.
