MANTUA, OH (WOIO) - A Twinsburg family is helping to bring dock diving to Northeast Ohio.
It is a sport that involves dogs jumping for height and distance into a pool. Michelle Filler and her family are building a pool and dock in Mantua using their own expenses.
The Filler family hopes to open the first dock diving facility this June at Roundup Lake Campground.
"It will be open to the public and great fun for the entire family," said Michelle Filler, whose 15 year-old son, Zakary Filler, competes with Duke, a Belgian Malinois.
A grand opening event called Duke's K9 Dash N'Splash will get underway June 10 from noon until 5 p.m.
