DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Facebook has taken the next step to closing in on Snapchat's popularity.
A new feature called Facebook Stories, much like Snapchat, comes with crazy filters and the opportunity to put together a collection of pictures for "your story." The stories will appear at the top of the Facebook app's news feed and only last for 24 hours.
It's no coincidence. Facebook is openly congratulating Snapchat for perfecting the popular picture presentation and running with the idea.
What's in it for Facebook? Money, of course. The more people are using the new stories feature, the more people are also subject to ads. And that means money.
