PARMA HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Donna Chidsey appeared for sentencing at the Parma Municipal Courthouse Wednesday morning after being found guilty on charges connected to a Aug. 2016 fatal crash that killed two people in Parma Heights.
After emotional pleas from several of the victims' family members, the judge handed down his sentencing. Chidsey was sentenced to 36 months probation, a $1000 fine, and her license has been suspended for five years.
The 74-year-old woman pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide after fatally striking Kathleen McDonald and Nancy Gielas during a outdoor summer concert.
According to police, Chidsey confused the the gas pedal with the brake pedal when she was leaving a Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin tribute concert at Commons Park in Parma Heights on Aug. 21, 2016. She then plowed into nine people.
