Avon man barricades himself in home after earlier arrest

AVON, OH (WOIO) - An Avon man barricaded himself in his home early Friday morning after an earlier arrest and release for disorderly intoxication.

According to Avon Police, 33-year-old Brian Sisto was arrested from Nemo's Grille on Thursday night at approximately 11:30 P.M. for disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest, trespassing, and obstructing.

Sisto was transported to the Lorain County Jail, booked, and posted bond. He then returned back to his home on Chelsea Street.

Just before 3:30 A.M., police were then called to his home after he allegedly threatened his neighbor with guns because the neighbor called the police on him earlier. Sisto's wife and children were urged to leave the house. Police say another woman in the house was attempting to calm Sisto down, but she eventually exited the house too.

Residents in the neighborhood were asked to evacuate or shelter in place in a basement because police were not immediately able to contact Sisto.

At approximately 8:00 A.M., police say the man turned himself in to police custody.
