CHAGRIN FALLS, OH (WOIO) - The restaurant Gamekeeper's Taverne is closing the doors for good on Saturday.
The popular and historic Chagrin Falls restaurant, located at 87 West Street, first opened in 1976. The Gamekeeper's Taverne is known for it's outdoor dining experience and a menu focused on wild game. Diners could choose to order exotic dishes that included boar schnitzel or venison burgers.
One of the restaurant's proprietors, Tom Lutz, said parking and competition have become obstacles for the restaurant, which contributed to the closing.
After making the announcement to close, the community provided a lot of positive support for the restaurant and the owners.
Saturday night will be the last day for the historic restaurant, which will close at 10:00 P.M.
