CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cleveland Regional Transit Authority returned to normal service Monday morning after mechanical problems caused issues for blue and green rain line riders.
According to RTA, mechanical problems caused a shut down on the blue and green lines through the Shaker Heights area on Sunday night. The problem was caused by an issue with the system's electrical equipment. The faulty equipment needed replacement, according to RTA. Rail customers were urged to use regional bus service as the alternative.
After the repairs were made, test runs on the track were done by RTA officials. RTA announced early Monday morning that operations were restored at the start of morning service.
