Man arrested for shooting Canton brothers

CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

Canton police arrested the man suspected of shooting two brothers in March. One of the brothers died as a result of the shooting.

Police say Samual D. Betts was arrested on Monday for the shooting of Jermaine Davis II and Jordan Davis. The shooting took place on March 27 in the 400 block of Arlington Ave NW. The two victims, who are brothers, were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Police say Jermaine Davis II died.

According to Canton Police, an arrest warrant was issued for Betts on Monday. Police located Betts and took him into custody without issue. He has been charged with complicity to commit murder, complicity to commit discharge of a firearm near a prohibited place, and complicity to commit felonious assault.

Police are still investigating the incident. Additional arrests are possible, according to Canton Police.
