Children survive, mother makes disturbing call to 911: 'I cut my children's throat' (listen)

The Canton mother who allegedly cut her 7- and 10-year-old daughters' throats made a graphic admission to a dispatcher during the 911 call.

During the call, 31-year-old Nicole James-Auburn told the dispatcher, "I cut my children's throat."

The two girls were hospitalized after their mother allegedly cut their throats and wrists, according to Canton Police. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The girls are expected to survive.

James-Auburn was booked at the Stark County Jail and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Police are continuing the investigation.
