CANTON, OH (WOIO) - The Canton mother charged with attempting to murder her two children appeared in court on Thursday morning.
Nicole Auman, the 31-year-old mother charged with two counts of attempted murder appeared for arraignment in Canton Municipal Court. Auman entered a not guilty plea.
On Tuesday night, Auman made a disturbing call to the Canton 911 emergency dispatcher.
"I cut my children's throats," Auman said to the dispatcher.
Auman's 7- and 10-year-old daughters were hospitalized after their mother allegedly cut the girls' throats and wrists, according to Canton Police. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The girls are expected to survive.
The judge set the bond at $1,000,000. A status hearing is scheduled on April 10, followed by a preliminary hearing on April 11.
