CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A woman who was shot around 5 p.m. on April 5 on the 6200 block of Superior Avenue said the bullet went through her left leg. Eugenia Robertson said she was coming down Superior on her way home.
"I heard a whole bunch of shotguns, but I thought they were firecrackers," Robertson said.
The woman adds she did not feel the shot at first.
"I looked at my leg and it started smoking," Robertson said.
Robertson saw another woman get shot. She won't go to stores in the area anymore after this incident.
The victim does not know the car involved in the incident, but she has a message for the shooter.
" If they only knew how many lives is out here that's innocent, and we're not doing anything and we didn't ask for anything to happen like this. He needs to go to prison. He needs to turn himself in. He should feel guilty for what he's done," said Robertson.
According to the police report, a witness told investigators a shooter was a man. Robertson's car was shot on the driver's side.
She is also a stroke victim and has problems on her right side, Robertson says she will now have problems on her left side.
At 6:30 P.M., Cleveland Police say a 19-year-old man was shot while walking in the 1700 block of East 70th Street on Wednesday. The victim told police that a white Volvo station wagon pulled up and approximately five to seven unknown suspects began shooting at the victim.
The victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment to a gunshot wound to his arm. The victim apparently used his arm to shield his face during the shooting. The suspects fled from the scene in the Volvo.
Multiple cars in the area were also struck by stray bullets.
At 9:00 P.M., Cleveland Police say a 23-year-old male victim was shot in the 1500 block of Ansel Road. The victim was shot in the groin and the back. He was shot in the groin and in the back. There have been no arrests made, according to police.
